A Prayer for Peace
On Sunday evening, October 8th, New Jersey Coalition President, Rabbi Matthew Gewirtz and Senior Rabbi of Congregation B’ Nai, hosted the Greater Metro West Community gathering in Solidarity for Israel were some two thousand people of faith gathered.
Coalition member Rabbi David Levy, Director of the American Jewish Committee reached out to coalition members with a message following the ongoing crisis in Israel. Levy noted, “Our hearts are with all who have family, friends, and colleagues who have been killed, injured, or are being held captive by Hamas; innocent civilians suffering in Gaza; and all. Those living with fear, mourning loss, and experiencing trauma. As this situation continues to escalate we pray for a peaceful future when no one in the region experiences brutality and violence.”
