Extending this invitation to the Coalition of Religious Leaders network, as this issue was one of the primary issues identified as a policy priority for the coalition.

On June 3, we’re holding a full-day conference in support of the campaign to provide sentencing relief and release for incarcerated senior citizens in New Jersey prisons. The conference is held at Montclair State University, and will feature testimonies from formerly incarcerated elders, breakout panels and workshops, and a policy roundtable with staff from the governor’s office, the department of corrections, and Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez.

Breakfast and lunch are included, registration is free, but capacity is limited to 200 people.

Sponsors of this Second Look Campaign event include Salvation and Social Justice, the NJ Office of the Public Defender, UU Faith Action, Faith in New Jersey, Families Against Mandatory Minimums, and American Friends Service Committee. Please register now by scanning the QR code on the flyer, or by visiting www.secondlooknj.org/conference.
