Dear Rev. Jack Johnson,
NJ Coalition of Religious Leaders:

I hope this letter finds you well. As part of my ongoing commitment to fostering community engagement and advocating for the interests of congregations, I am excited
to invite you to join me and my team on a day trip to Washington, DC for our annual Kean Day on Capitol Hill.

In partnership with Kean University’s Office of Government Affairs & Community Partnerships and the Faith-Based Institute of Public Policy, I am organizing a trip aimed
at facilitating meaningful interactions between religious leaders and legislators. The trip is scheduled for April 10, 2024, and I believe it presents a unique opportunity for us to
come together, form relationships, and navigate policy issues that are vital to the communities we’ve all chosen to serve.

The objectives of this trip include:

– Engaging with policymakers to advocate for issues important to your congregations and communities.
– Building relationships with legislators to ensure your voices are heard in the policymaking process.
– Gaining insights and knowledge about current policy developments and their potential impacts on your communities.

During your time in Washington, D.C., you will have the opportunity to meet with administration officials, participate in informative meetings, and engage in discussions aimed at addressing the pressing challenges facing your communities. Additionally, you will have the chance to connect with fellow religious leaders from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration and unity in your efforts to effect positive change.

I understand the importance of your role as a spiritual leader and advocate for your community, and I believe that your participation in this trip will greatly contribute to your collective efforts to address the issues that matter most to you. Your unique perspective and insights are invaluable, and I am eager to collaborate with you in this endeavor. Please find enclosed a brief travel itinerary. Further details regarding the trip, will be provided upon RSVP. I kindly ask that you confirm your attendance by Friday, March 29, 2024 to ensure proper arrangements can be made.

Thank you for considering this invitation, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Warm regards,
Kellie LeDet
